Research & Development Engineering Technician

Successful candidates will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary product development team for our Sweatronics™ platform.
Position: Full-time. Reports to Lead Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
The following Job Duties are examples of the type of work the individual will do. Specific work plans are tailored around the skills of the individual and current business needs.
Supporting scientists and engineers by fabricating parts, devices, and custom tooling using various prototyping lab equipment.
Creating CAD/CAM files for use in fabricating parts.
Owning responsibility for equipment and tools including operation, development of best practices, maintenance, calibration, and training.
Tracking and maintaining inventory of lab consumables.
Identifying and making recommendations on new equipment and tools that could optimize the success of R&D.
Advising on device design with focus on improving fabrication feasibility and methods.
Assisting in laboratory experiments as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or similar engineering technology discipline.
Experience with CNC machining, laser cutting, 3D printing, basic power tools is strongly preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD and Fusion 360 is strongly preferred.
Innovative problem-solving capabilities.
Strong hands-on, computer, logic and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
